The Principle of the Path by Andy Stanley
I received a free copy this book in exchange for writing an honest review that would be published on my blog and at the webpage of an online book retailer. This book is written by a pastor who has, in his work, repeatedly seen what can happen to a life if you allow yourself to follow the wrong path. Sometimes we get on the wrong path; either by decision or by not paying attention. If we stay on the wrong path we will wind up in the wrong place. The basic principle of the path, which he lays out for us in chapter two, after introducing it for a chapter and a half, is that it is our direction not our intention that will determine our destination. He dedicates this entire book to explaining that basic principle with illustrative stories from both the bible and from the lives of people he either knows or made up. If you are not happy with where you are in your life right now you might benefit from reading this book. It is an easy book to read, Mr. Stanley writes with clarity and with a pleasant sense of humour.
