Water’s Edge by Robert Whitlow

Wow, this was a novel I seriously could not put down. What first drew me to it was the beautiful, calm artwork on the cover, which prompted me to ask Booksneeze to send me a free copy of it to review. When the book arrived in the mail earlier this week, I could not wait to open it up. I read the first few paragraphs and then dove into the story, wanting to read only the story and not the other things I was supposed to be reading. It is the story about a big city lawyer who heads home to close down the office belonging to his recently deceased father, who is also a lawyer. The characters in this story are well written, consistent and knowable. It has been a while since I read a story and got so involved in it that I wanted to call out to the characters to warn them about other characters. The story continues to a very satisfying conclusion. I am being deliberately vague about the plot, because I don’t want to ruin any surprises for you when you start reading this novel. I highly recommend it.
